Business Development Service Agent
CurrentI am currently a Business Development Service Agent as part of the Community Economic Development (CED) program at Peace Corps Senegal. Aligned with priorities set by the government of Senegal, the CED program focuses on improving economic security and promoting upward mobility particularly for women and youth. We take on the role of a co-trainer and mentor to work in partnership with local organizations to foster entrepreneurial behaviors in women and youth who aspire to start their own businesses.- Executed a $2,585.69 grant to establish a cafeteria at the local high school where profits are used to finance a free meal program for 32 selected students- Graduated 14 students from a entrepreneurship course at the local women’s organization, where classes focused on developing the entrepreneurial capacity of women in Nioro- Engaged in cultural and information sessions with local government and NGOs to advance the Peace Corps mission in Senegal and advice on partnership strategies
