I am a competent and qualified roughneck with 5 years’ experience behind me. Able to safely operate and maintain a variety of equipments such as; The Iron Roughneck, Rig Tongs and an array of mechanical hand tools. I understand complicated drilling procedures and involve myself with safety meetings and toolbox talks. I was lead roughneck on my crew and have filled in for assistant derrickman several times helping me to gain more knowledge and understanding of drilling procedures and operations. I have also have experience in working on abandonment Wells, gaining experience on how to conduct this task safely and using the correct procedures.

As a member of the deck crew my tasks were mainly assisting with heavy lifts and manual labour on the main deck. Occasionally I would assist on the rig floor when requested by the driller. During my time as a roustabout I joined the helideck crew where I refuelled the helicopter and was responsible for the safety of passengers arriving and departing from the rig. . I would often help out with such tasks as fuel transfer from the boat to the rig, fluid transfers from the rig to the boat and arranging the layout of containers on the main deck.

This involved fitting and plumbing in new equipment, installations and pipes, re-routing pipes, removing discontinued, corroded pipes and renewing them, all was done for cold, hot, waste and sprinkler pipes. When something else had to be done before plumbing could progress, we would help with the labouring, lifting, helping the other trades and helping to maintain a clean work site.

Spent 4 years learning my trade both through work and college, gaining a vast knowledge of both domestic plumbing, central heating and gas work. Done all types of plumbing from basic tap washer changes to fitting brand new central heating systems.
