The project, completed in 2018, achieved over £200k in annual costs savings while enhancing scalability and performance- Redesigned developer framework for engineers by integrating Docker and Git commit hooks in order to enforce environment, testing and linting standards - this improved code consistency and reduced errors

HMRC Connect Account - a data mining platform that cross references tax records with other sources of data to help identify tax fraud- Created interactive SAS stored processes in order to simplify complex data analysis tasks for business users, reducing their reliance on manual queries- Decreased the time required to execute data transformations by optimising existing SAS ETL scripts, resulting in a 20% reduction in data processing times- Published technical documentation and user guides for new SAS processes in order to support the HMRC team maintain consistent standards and onboard new analysts more efficiently- Developed deployment scripts to support the SAS version upgrade migration, ensuring straightforward transitions and minimising disruptions to existing workflows
