Provide Crane Operator and Roustabouts with relevant instructions for current and forthcoming operations. Ensure per job meeting is done prior to all non-routine deck operations. Supervise all cranes and deck operations such as running casing, picking up or laying down tubular, placement of equipment and supplies, etc. Coordinate supply boat traffic, particularly during loading and unloading materials. Check lifted loads for clearance, obstructions in movement, balance, and proper attachment. Supervise the maintenance, inspection and repair of cranes and barge equipment. Ensure the Preventive Maintenance tasks on this equipment are completed and recorded. Ensure a clean and organized main deck and pipe deck. Keep a running inventory of slings and lifting equipment in use. Advise the Barge Supervisor of shortages or damaged slings. Assist the Barge Supervisor during mobilization, demobilization, and rig move operations. Perform assigned duties during safety drills and emergency situations as per designation on station bill. Issue permit to work for all non-routine or over the side work Assist in preparing Job Safety Analysis for hazardous situation Actively participate in the weekly safety meeting and other safety management system issues. Mentor, develop and train crew members to ensure they are competent to work at their next job level. Assist with training of deck crews. Training to include but not limited to proper rigging, materials handling and techniques, use of hand held radio, and painting procedures. Assist in completing the annual performance appraisals for deck crew members. Recommend promotion or disciplinary action up to and including discharge

Positions held-Roustabout, Ordinary Seaman, AB Seaman, Crane Operator, Boson and current position Deck Pusher.Have been the Boson aboard the vessel for the past 3 years.I am in charge of running the paint crews of ten personnel, planning different area of the vessel to paint. I’m in charge of versus bulk replenishment. Operating Sea tax cranes aboard a DP drill ship, if needed I help the Deck foreman with certain jobs.Some of the responsibilities I have are running the cranes (Sea tax-Hydraulic-Diesel), Ensuring the Marine crew is performing there jobs properly and safely. Helping the 2mate with planned maintenance, the forward fire team leader. Ensuring the Marine crew are participating in the safety systems put in place by the company, handling personal issues among the crew and numerous other jobs and responsibilities. I have a valid U.S. passport and have worked all around the world.
