During the Primary Elections of 2018, 2020, and 2022, I have been elected into the position of Precinct Executive for the Hamilton County Democratic Party. While in this position I have been able to acknowledge and address the concerns of my constituents, participate in active discussion regarding matters within the Democratic Party, and then proceed to vote accordingly. I have helped assist with getting out the vote, along with encouraging my constituents to continue to positively engage and shape their community.

As my last internship for the University of Cincinnati, I have worked with Hamilton County's Community Development Division assisting staff with a variety of different projects. Within the projects that I have worked on, I furthered my understanding of the role that Community Development serves as a means of providing for services impacting the Hamilton County region. I have been responsible for working on the division's Home Repair Services Program, collecting and providing analysis on data, closing out one of the Neighborhood Stabilization Programs, and establishing proper documentation/filing procedures.

Observing the varying tasks that a City Councilmember is expected to complete is both daunting and admirable. A City Councilmember's duties is to represent the best interest of their constituents and bring attention to the critical issues that the urban environment is facing. As the Outreach Coordinator for Meeka Owens, I was responsible for gathering research on Cincinnati politics and issues, helping prepare and assess data for the campaign, and providing a point of contact for other organizations.

As an intern with Anderson Township, I have assisted on numerous tasks. One of the major projects given to me was the implementation of the Street Tree Program. This program provides residents a free tree for the front yard of their property with the end result increasing the tree canopy within the Township. I have assisted staff with minutes during committee meetings, maintained the sign regulations on daily trips out in the field, as well as providing designs for information regarding events, such as the Trick or Treat event in the Towne Center.

During my time at the Avondale Development Corporation, I assisted with the design and implementation of a Housing Strategy to maintain the active community in Avondale and mitigate the negative effects of gentrification. I had the opportunity to develop maps regarding housing, sales, regional planning, the ability to assess quantitative data about current trends occuring in the region, and to present my findings to staff and outside organizations wishing to engage in the neighborhood.

City Planning at Cincinnati was my first Co-Op experience in my college career. I had the opportunity to showcase my talents as a planner by writing staff reports, presenting presentations in front of the City Planning Commission, and developing our poster for the Neighborhood Summit event in March where citizens of Cincinnati had seen the significant progress our department made.
