Provide Global Product Support for client’s products.This would involve reproducing errors faced by clients, troubleshooting issues and finding fast solutions which are preventing clients from attaining their business objectives. JavaScript, Python and SQL databases were used daily to investigate errors and eventually used to find fixes. Working together in manageable team sizes we would triage and solve issues in a timely manner set out within the project.

I work within the Programme Advisory Team (PAT). PAT is relatively new to Maynooth University and our role is to explain course structures, subject pathways, timetabling, and provide assistance to students who feel overwhelmed and confused when deciding on their degree subjects. I worked around the campus, explaining to predominantly first-year students how each course is structured, what is needed to progress into second year and prompted ideas of what they wish to study in second year. Each course was different, therefore each student had different questions. I gained communications skills, increased my ability to respond quickly to difficult questions, and I realised I thoroughly enjoy teaching students to help remove some anxieties which come with starting university.

I worked proof-reading and pre-correcting written assignments for students. This would give an indication as to how their writing is, should be, and how it could be improved. I would discuss solutions to common writing errors, explain what thesis statements, paragraphs, and university essays should look like. I explained referencing, and helped fellow students edit their work.

As a shift manager my daily tasks involve organising breaks, being responsible for food safety in regards to dates and cooking temperatures, training new crew members and coach more experienced crew to become more advanced at their job. I am responsible for maintaining labour during my shift as well as reaching sales targets while minimising customer complaints. I have opened and closed the store and I have acquired a large amount of responsibility within the store. I have been sent on two manager courses and a first-aid course, and I am currently in charge of Health & Safety, and Security within the store. I have learned to adapt to busy periods with minimal crew, to provide excellent customer service, and increase sales within the store.
