My background:As a student studying Computer Science at the University of North Texas, I grasp every opportunity I get to learn more about the technology that surrounds us and fulfills many of our daily needs. Specifically, I am engrossed by the idea of "green" energy and how computer software can influence the efficiency of technology that runs society. I am influenced by my years of participation in the Boy Scouts of America in which I fostered respect for my environment and community and achieved the Eagle Scout Rank. This along with my fascination with computers has given me the passion to make our communities more eco-friendly through software.What I am doing now:I am currently a Computer Science major and Music minor, expecting to earn my Bachelor's degree in 2023. Ever since I was young I have been fascinated by how our world interacts and runs on technology. This has led me to become a Computer Science major which gives me the opportunity to learn new programming skills as well as becoming immersed with the history and more trivial parts of computers.Goals for a "green" future:In my search of an internship opportunity, I aim to attain experience working a computer programming job. My experiences of being a Boy Scout, such as leading my Eagle Scout Project, have contributed to the development of my organizational and verbal communication skills. I am highly analytical of any situation, challenging myself to look at an issue with several points of view. My involvement in community service gives me the motivation to support the environment with the programming skills I continue to develop.
