After my previous team was absorbed into the Back Office Development team, my responsibilities expanded to cover services relating to position and trade data.In a team of two, developed a brand new Transaction Reporting system for the new UK EMIR Refit regulations. Built in Java and Spring Boot, this system has successfully allowed the firm to fulfil its regulatory obligations. This required working with the Business to gather requirements, as well as developing a clear understanding of transaction reporting and the business domain as a whole.Work across a multitude of services to support a New Product Approval.

Responsible for services designed to source, process and store static and pricing data. Owned and successfully delivered a significant project to migrate the firm's complex static data database from Sybase ASE to SqlServer. This involved devising a thorough test plan and extensive work on a large legacy system to accommodate the individual quirks of a SqlServer db over that of a Sybase one. Delivery of this project was smooth despite two changes in manager due to staff departures over the course of the project timeline, resulting in much greater ownership of the project by myself than initially planned due to my relative level of seniority at the time. Worked directly with users to identify and fix any issues with a wide variety of services under support and BAU.Migration of services from on-premises to AWS
