My role as Head of Domestic Services encompasses various roles from concept to completion of all of the domestic properties with regards to the following systems GSHP, ASHP, WSHP, PV Systems, UFH and MVHR installations. Within my role I provide leadership in identifying, specifying and quoting new domestic opportunities, supporting the sales process through to solutions development, I participate in all presentations and consultation meetings, I employ and manage an engineering team capable of delivering domestic installations of heat pumps, ensuring the team are trained and competent to complete the works. This includes taking ownership of the full lifecycle of the domestic installations, including financial, operational, QHSE and commercial services whilst ensuring compliance with the company’s policies and procedures. I ensure that the provision of healthy and safe working conditions are acceptable and that both clients and company health and safety policy and processes are effectively implemented across both company and subcontractors activities, this includes identifying, reducing and managing all risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial or otherwise) associated with each and every project. My role includes building strong relationships with sub-contractors and preferred suppliers to ensure cost effective solutions which meet our quality expectations can be delivered to our clients whilst managing the risk and ensuring a high standard of customer service is kept throughout the life of the projects, including after sales service.

During my role I undertook plumbing, heating, ventilation and electrical supervision to large apartment blocks and commercial properties across the country, my role encompassed various facets such as supervising and supporting our engineers and ensuring that all procedures are followed correctly whilst also acting as a conduit between clients and the on-site team.I worked closely with our parent company JS Wright, we maintained the properties that have been completed and handed over to us whilst also growing our own maintenance portfolio to support this, the projects that we maintained were fitted out with state of the art HIU’s, CIU’s, CHP’s and MVHR’s to name a few, we prided ourselves on being forward thinking and being energy efficient.As a group we were passionate and eager to offer best in class service across all commercial and domestic properties regardless of the size of the project or the location.

My role as contracts manager encompasses various roles within a fast paced and exciting industry, this includes managing multi disciplined engineers and specialist sub contractors. Within my role I undertake maintenance tenders and manage reactive maintenance callouts, quotations and projects that have been logged or accepted.I manage various size projects from tender until completion, this entails building relationships with clients, quoting, surveying tasks and through to the whole lifecycle of organising and managing multi disciplined engineers or sub contractors to carry out the works through to completion.Within my role I work with an array of high profile clients and I pride myself on my organisational skills, management of my team, customer facing skills and integrity.

My role involved working on very prestigious sites throughout central Birmingham which house large corporations and businesses, My role involved undertaking reactive and PPM maintenance tasks whilst also being heavily focused on the plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning aspect of the large properties we look after, the main systems currently in use throughout our portfolio are air handling units controlled by Trend B.M.S control systems. As part of my role I also induct, manage and organise sub contractors that my organisation uses for specific tasks.

I thoroughly enjoyed my position working for GSH U.K. I was fortunate enough to work with large corporations such as Santander & Yorkshire banking groups gaining a great insight into the reactive and PPM maintenance tasks for such large and important establishments. My position involved surveying and quoting jobs before they were undertaken, gathering information such as security checks, material lists and costs, labour times, risk assessments and asbestos reports. I also undertook reactive and planned maintenance procedures, Fire safety checks and emergency lighting annual/biannual tests. I covered a large area of the United Kingdom ranging from the east to the west coast down the central spine of England. G.S.H UK had a large portfolio of contracts meaning I was fortunate enough to work on varied sites other than just banks which included the Co-operative group sites, SCS furniture stores and the Department of work and pension sites to name just a few.

West Midlands

I gained a vast amount of experience in all aspects of building work during my tenure at the O'sullivan group. plumbing maintenance was still my predominate work load and these areas both included being part of a reactive call-out team (1 in 3 week call out).​I was the sole reactive plumbing maintenance engineer for the central and eastern area of England. I maintained a vast number of Co-operative group sites and various other shopping outlets including: Dobbies garden centers, Ikea, House of Fraser, Ladbrokes, Costa coffee, Waterstones, the list goes on.​Within my tenure at the O'sullivan group Ltd I also managed large jobs encapsulating out of hours work also. Tasks ranged from just in-time planned maintenance operations to pre planned operations. All tasks had to be completed in conjunction with the stores opening hours to avoid any disruption to staff whilst also being flexible to the customers requirements and the business's critical needs.

In my next role i was approached for the role of Junior domestic plumbing and heating engineer at Gill mechanical services ltd, i relished the chance of gaining further and a more varied range of skills and insight into the sector in which Gill mechanical operated within, the experience I gained during my tenure has proven to be invaluable, I worked on a large spectrum of commercial sites and property's including schools, hospitals, health care centres, the Honda car manufacturing site in Swindon, car show rooms, train stations (slough/Telford), The restaurant group establishments, Greene king public houses, banks and corporate offices, sports and social clubs to name just a few. I worked with a variety of different materials and methods within the commercial plumbing and heating sector during my tenure gaining invaluable experience with biomass heating systems, ground/air source heat pumps, solar panels and large boiler and plant rooms whilst working with varied materials such as carbon steel, copper, mild steel, a.b.s and vulcathene to name just a few.

My first role and when I first became interested in the plumbing and heating sector came at Eclipse plumbing and heating ltd, I first came into contact with Eclipse when I undertook a work experience scheme at the age of 13 which involved working and getting an insight into the trade for 2 weeks during school, I thoroughly enjoyed and impressed during my short time with Eclipse and I went onto work and gain further experience with Eclipse during my school holidays leading to the Directors asking me to contact them as soon as I became available upon completing my exams and school work.I consequently contacted Eclipse upon my completion of my school work and accepted the job role. Commencing my employment straight away I then enrolled at the city of Wolverhampton college and set about gaining all available qualifications (level 3 NVQ) by both studying at college and working onsite for Eclipse gaining every accreditation that was available within my field of expertise and therefore gaining vital hands-on experience in the domestic new build plumbing and heating sector.Eclipse plumbing and heating were a preferred installer of plumbing and heating systems to large house building company's including Taylor Wimpey, Selbourne homes and Cameron homes to name a few, meaning I worked on an array of sites gaining invaluable experience in the health and safety aspect of site work whilst experiencing large building sites and learning how they operated.
