At Liquiglide, I tested the efficacy and robustness of liquid impregnated surfaces for usage in the paint industry. Working with in-house and third-party consultants to design and perform experiments, I led a project to reduce the cost of materials using new liquid-solid interfaces while maintaining compatibility with the product. I gained experience testing liquid-liquid and liquid-solid interfaces using a goniometer, tensiometer, and rheometer.

I was employed at the university for six months with the primary responsibility of using and establishing procedures for a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) furnace. The furnace was used to grow bismuth selenide (Bi2Se3) and tin telluride (SnTe) 2-D materials at the nanoscale. I then characterized these materials using metrology tools to gather composition, thickness, Raman spectra, and material shape. I repeated these processes by comparing results to established literature to achieve desired growth outcome. The growths were used to fabricate devices to measure radio frequency capacitor properties.

I was employed at TEL NEXX with the primary responsibility of assisting to improve the cost of operation of a physical vapor deposition (PVD) tool. I developed and performed design of experiments to improve the lifetime of integral process operations. I did this by performing statistical analyses of data collected using several metrology tools to gather thickness, uniformity, and stress data.

My primary responsibilities at were to assist guests with special product purchases and to provide superior customer service to promote an enjoyable experience. I also utilized computer software and conflict resolution skills to resolve any issues that arose. I earned the Employee of the Month Award for Special Operations in July of 2014.
