Instructor of Master-Level Restricted Maneuvering Ship handling refresher training to Military Sealift Command Masters and Chief Mates and an introduction to advanced ship handling procedures for second and third officers focusing upon the intangibles of maneuvering a ship in a restricted environment.

At Sea

Twenty-five years as Master of unlimited tonnage, ocean transport freight ships with experience in global and coastal marine operations. Voyage experience includes 20 years in Alaska trade, 5 years in Puerto Rico trade, 5 years on tankers. Approximately 5 years experience in MSC / MARAD operations and sealift including Desert Shield/Storm in 1990 and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Special skills include Ro-Ro and Container ships, Military Sealift and JLOTS, cold weather and ice navigation, First class pilot in Cook Inlet, AK.
