Before landing here at Lighthouse Financial, I was president and chief executive officer of Hinds Financial Group, serving from 1973 to 2000, when Hinds Financial merged with three other firms to form the Centurion Group with more than $1.2 billion in assets. Two years later, General Electric bought Centurion, and I happily retired — or so I thought. I joined Lighthouse in 2006 with a new focus on financial fitness.
