I spent about a year and a half assisting Ms. Justice Úna Ní Raifeartaigh in the following court lists: Judicial Review/Non-Jury, Hague Convention on Child Abduction, Chancery, and Crime.My tasks mainly revolved around legal research for judgments, taking notes of court hearings and reviewing and summarising the accepted facts from the papers.

I originally wanted to go into politics. I helped the Deputy in setting up a new party, the Social Democrats, and I was part of drafting that year's alternative budget proposal and the party manifesto. The most interesting part was leading a group of volunteers in contesting the March 2016 general election, wherein the Deputy topped the poll. I left the party afterwards to go back into law. Eye-opening.
