We started by conducting comprehensive research to identify the latest consumer trends in the food and beverage industry. This involved studying market reports, analyzing social media discussions, reviewing industry publications, and attending relevant conferences and trade shows. Through this research, we gained insights into the emerging pulse-protein ingredients that consumers were seeking in their products.Throughout the consulting engagement, I provided guidance on process development, proposing entirely new manufacturing methods to accommodate the incorporation of the new ingredients. This included proof of concept product, meeting regulatory requirements.

Bahamian oolitic aragonite, coupled with its fine-grained texture, makes it a desirable material for various applications. It is particularly sought after for use in the construction industry, as it can be finely ground into a powder known as "aragonite sand" or "Bahama sand." This sand is utilized in the production of concrete, as a filler material, and as a component in building materials like tiles, bricks, and stucco.During my term as the VP of Operations, we collaborated with our stakeholders to improve the grinding and sizing process technologies in order to render hydrophobic and free flowing aragonite particles, ideal for a myriad of value-added applications.

This role was by and large the most eyeopening experience of my career. Chapter One, China: China is renowned as a global manufacturing hub, producing a wide range of products and equipment. When we traveled there to source portable drilling equipment, establish connections with suppliers, and negotiate deals, I was blown away by the real opportunities available to our group. The process was both challenging and exhilarating as we navigated through different markets, interacted with manufacturers, seeking out the best quality and prices for our drilling equipment needs.Chapter Two, The Democratic Republic of Congo: The DRC has recognized the importance of developing its infrastructure to facilitate mining activities and exportation of minerals. Significant investments have been made in improving transportation networks, including roads, railways, and ports. These infrastructure developments are expected to enhance accessibility to remote mining areas and reduce logistical challenges, thereby making it easier to extract and export minerals. Spanning 2012 through 2014, our team was tasked with geological exploration and logistics due diligence efforts supporting the development of Malachite and Limestone reserves in central and eastern regions of the country.
