Jack proved himself an accomplished and visionary leader for i-PRO, which placed him in charge of several defining projects that shaped i-PRO and positioned it for the future. He will be an asset to any organization with which he is associated in the future. A few of Jack’s accomplishments on which I had the privilege of working with him are described below. Jack was appointed as the leader of the Americas’ implementation of i-PRO’s Global ERP system, including the planning and implementation of several key bolt-on systems, such as warehouse management, sales tax, accounts payable and EDI. The project involved close coordination with a Japan-based implementation team as well as the key departments in the Americas. Jack was instrumental in leading the activities to troubleshoot the new system and bring it into full effect. Jack’s contributions will lead to better business process for i-PRO in the future. Jack also led a key project to expand i-PRO Americas business operations beyond the US, into Canada and Latin America. This required negotiations with legacy owners, attorneys, landlords, distributors, and others, in order to meet the legal, financial and operational requirements to stand up this business. The first year after this business was established, it made a sizable contribution to i-PRO Americas’ financial results. Jack also led the project to consolidate our corporate office and two warehouses into a first-class 55,000 square foot combined office, training, customer experience and warehouse facility in Northwest Houston. Transforming this first-generation space into the Americas’ headquarters was a monumental task involving real estate brokers, architects, construction, information technology and human resources. Jack balanced the wants and needs of the many departments ensuring an equitable split of resources. I learned many key aspects of project planning and execution as a result of my time working with Jack.
