In my role as Lead Practitioner for English at Inspire (an SEMH provision) I am responsible for ensuring high standards of literacy throughout the school. In addition to my day-to-day English teaching role, I also have the responsibility of Exams Officer and lead on the school's UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools initiative. I write policies linked to my role and deliver CPD to staff on high-quality teaching methods with a focus on literacy.

To develop my teaching experience, I moved to mainstream education. My main role was to teach English across Key Stage 3 and 4. I also looked to support the behaviour unit, developing rapport with pupils to support them in their transition back into the classroom.
