I assisted the production facility with Quality assurance and Quality control testing procedures as well as inspecting the product to ensure it has been built properly by the laborers. This included concrete inspection, cylinder breaking and dimension checks of all precast walls, beams, hollow core, flexicore and even Stadia. I also had the opportunity to work in the engineering department to help design precast members using Precast code and steel design requirements with maximum loading calculations. Programs including Risa and Autocad were used during the 3 weeks inside.

Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area

I completed a 9 month civil engineering internship as a construction material technician observing and testing material on many projects around the twin cities area. I was involved with numerous testing procedures on soil and concrete for both city and county transportation projects. I collaberated with various project participants regarding my testing results and location inquiries. I collected, analyzed, and recorded testing data and observations for concrete and soil. I also learned to regularly record daily reports for activities completed in the field.
