I recently completed my Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Youngstown State University (August 2020). Currently, I am seeking full-time employment in the Greater Pittsburgh, PA region. I am passionate about all engineering and enjoy wearing many hats. Being well-rounded in and out of the workplace is a quality that I strive to maintain. I have experience in solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, modeling, FEA, and CFD. Before YSU, I received a B.A. in Physics and a minor in Mathematics plus a concentration in Computational Analysis from Washington & Jefferson College, located in Washington, PA.My thesis is fluid mechanics focused; designing and assembling a research grade wind tunnel that I used for my thesis data. The work of characterizing a research grade wind tunnel supports investigations in shear-driven flows, turbulence, and advanced materials for creating flow control devices. It will also help with future computation fluid mechanics (CFD) validation studies. The tunnel required a characterization of airflow properties and flow uniformity in order to ensure it was research grade and to make comparisons directly with computational engineering models.While at Washington & Jefferson College (May 2018), my capstone included building a Type--E Pulse Forming Network. The PFN created high current pulses produced by a capacitor bank and pulse forming network (transmission line) and discharging the pulse into a loop of coil to investigate the magnetic field.I would be interested in speaking with anyone with information that could lead to an exciting employment opportunity in Engineering.
