• Working as a lead engineer overseeing my project area, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget and to customers’ requirements• Working closely with an integrated engineering team• Managing day-to-day workload to ensure project milestones are met within deadlines • Coordinating with other teams within the business to achieve project milestones• Producing detailed design change of components that make up the fuze and liaising with other teams for changes to be completed. This also includes reviewing drawings and progressing the changes into a Fuze date pack.• Reviewing and approving colleague reports• Progressing products through the engineering lifecycle• Liaising with customers as and when required to provide progress reports• Liaising with company suppliers in and outside of the UK with project specific discussions • Maintaining a broad engineering knowledge of the product and approaching subject matter experts as and when needed• Reviewing product concessions and having internal discussion with senior engineering to gather approval• Compiling relevant documents and reports in line with the Business Management Systems (BMS) • Technical Reporting: Writing test specifications and reports• Chairing Safety and Design review meetings to gather senior approval • Compiling risk assessments• Liaising with Munitions Engineers and other stakeholders to ensure integration of Fuzing sub-systems• Attending trial locations to oversee and build trial equipment • Responding to external technical queries • Supporting team members and the wider business with ongoing projects • Day to day engineering tasks

This role involves the design, development and integration of Panasonic and third party products to provide system solutions for customers. The majority of contracts are in the energy, transport, logistics and construction industries. I am involved in the design, implementation, testing and ongoing maintenance of products and systems involving a wide variety of electrical and electronic products and software. In 2016 I was awarded the Panasonic European Award for Great Leaders and Employees (EAGLE) for my contribution to the business, this involved visiting the business in Japan. Through this role I have gained the following skills:• Electrical and electronic design and associated• On-site installation of electrical and electronic products.• Ongoing maintenance of electrical and electronic systems.• On-site fault finding and repair. • Detailed product knowledge • Use of AutoCAD• Adaptability: working with a variety of products and different projects, adapting to changing working environments/sites, teams and customers. Some contracts also require work away from home and outside usual working hours. • Communication: I have to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and maintain effective communication with my immediate team, others and directly with customers; some of which can be outside the UK.• Team working: I get on well with colleagues and customers and often have to integrate with on-site contractor teams. Due to the wide variety of products and systems, sharing information and taking advice is essential. • Problem solving skills and using own initiative: used on a daily basis as the nature of work is subject to constant change and I often have to provide on the spot solutions when installation or repair doesn’t go to plan.• Health and Safety: I regularly carry out dynamic risk assessments, follow method statements and complete H&S documentation when working on-site. I am a CSCS site card holder.

This role involved the design, testing and implementation stages of Windows projects. The configuration and installation of all hardware and installation of the operating system and third party products; to then act as a technical expert and adviser to customers. This role required SC enhanced and NOV level 3 data security clearance
