London Citizens is an alliance of community organisations that operate in London. It's one of the largest and most diverse social enterprises that hopes to empower its members. Notable sucesses include the London Living Wage Campaign and getting local people into Olympic employment, a project I was involved in throughout my studies. My involvement included carrying out research alongside London Citizens, working on a strategy to involve local people in Olympic employment by using local job brokerages. During this project I carried out extra volunteer work, collecting data and interviewing potential candidates for work accross a variety of sectors supporting the London Olympics. This required analysing potential CVs and meeting prospective employees to evaluate their potential for Olympic employment.
