I am interested in two things: writing and how humans coexist with nature. That combination covers a surprising amount and required me to create my own interdisciplinary undergraduate degree studying biology, environmental history, and environmental writing.I then embarked on a Fulbright fellowship to Jordan where I studied multiple aspects of water conservation ranging from water accounting to conservation reserves, focusing on the Azraq Oasis. This complimented my previous education with lived experience.While there and since returning, I have focused on publishing these experiences in places such as the BBC, Think Global Health, and Jordan News.
