Implemented a new workflow for displaying automation results stored in a MySQL database using the Google Charts API. Due to the frequency at which new builds were being tested, the existing methodology of using Excel spreadsheets could not reliably version control each new build. By creating an internal web-based tool (using Javascript, CSS, HTML, WebGL, Django, Python) that read directly from the database, a solution was developed relating to the issues of manually having to create the new graphs; distributing the document via email, and providing an accurate easy to use versioning system.Acted independently throughout the design, development and testing phases of the project, in effect as project lead and manager taking the project from inception to completion, and eventual handover.Reported directly to the QA Manager and worked collaboratively with senior QA engineers on a daily basis in the QA team, whilst also effectively working autonomously, taking initiative and responding positively to feedback to ensure the project was executed on time.An ever-changing list of requirements meant regular communication with the solver-validation team was necessary. As a result, there was a need to consistently improve existing tools and even add new ones.Participated in weekly handover meetings and collaborated with fellow QA engineers based in China to ensure a smooth handover of the project.
