My passion for engineering started at a young age by spending time in my dads workshop. I would spend hours taking apart and trying to understand anything that I could get my hands on. This developed into going to school to study mechanical engineering.I have experience in mechanical contracting, mechanical engineering design and consulting. My experience with mechanical contracting took place with P1 Group where I spent my summer on-site at a local medical research tower construction site focusing on MEP systems. My experience with mechanical design and consulting took place with Burns & McDonnell where I assisted with both mechanical design documentation and master planning for OnSite Energy and Power.Through these two professional experiences I was able to grow in both my technical skills as well as my professional skills. I grew in my ability to problem solve, mange my time, communicate and work with a team. I also was able to experience and learn how to adapt to the learning gap that comes with applying technical skills learned in a college classroom and how they are applied in a project application.Along with my technical experience, I have had the opportunity to serve in many leadership roles within my fraternity. The leadership role where I was forced to grow and learn the most was my time as Vice President. I served in this role only a semester, but in that short time I was able to gain skills that apply to a professional work space. The two biggest skills that I learned though my time as Vice President were communication and accountability.I am currently searching for an entry level mechanical engineering position starting summer 2021.
