Led all aspects of managed care strategy, contracting and operations for two major teaching hospitals and a 100 bed specialty hospital. Served as Administrator for Physician Hospital Organization (PHO) Board and physician IPA. Negotiated contracts with every major eastern Massachusetts HMO leading to expansion of covered lives by 500% in 3 years. Led contract negotiations for The Boston HealthNet, an integrated delivery system of 8 neighborhood health centers, three hospitals and the Boston University School of Medicine. Hospital representative to the Board of Directors for Tufts Associated Health Plans. Designed an EPO insurance plan to induce BU and City of Boston employees to utilize hospital providers. Selected as a 1995 National Association of Public Hospitals (NAPH) Management Fellow. Led Department that was selected as a finalist for the 1996 City Excellence Awards and presented to Blue Ribbon Panel Chaired by Governor.
