Jack graduated from The University of Sydney in Australia where he obtained his combined bachelor’s degree in Arts and Law. After completing his arts degree majoring in Japanese, he travelled to Tokyo to spend a year as a trainee at The Yasuda Fire & Marine Insurance Co., Ltd., and completed several specialized modules in Japanese corporate training and language which led to the attainment of a Graduate Certificate in Japanese Corporate Training from Macquarie University, Australia. During his penultimate year of law school, he completed his summer clerkship at South Korea’s leading firm, Kim & Chang Law Offices, where he was mentored by US-trained attorneys in the Corporate Department specializing in international business transactions. He returned to Australia to complete his final year of law school, where he focused his law studies around international law, international comparative jurisprudence, and Japanese law.Prior to pursuing his career in law, Jack worked in the financial services sector. He worked for several years at Bloomberg LP, joining the Singapore headquarters, after which he was transferred to the Hong Kong office to cover the Taiwan and Korean markets. His keen interest and appreciation in learning the workings of different cultures and international business practices was further cultivated during this earlier time in his professional career. He also undertook an M.B.A. training program as a Business Analyst at U.S. Trust Bank of America Private Wealth Management in New York. Following the program, he obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration (International Business Practice) from St. Mary’s University Twickenham, London.Jack embarked upon his legal career at Proskauer Rose LLP, New York, in the litigation department dealing with a wide range of labor and employment cases, as well as spending several years gaining valuable experience at a number of boutique firms handling litigation and immigration cases.Jack focuses exclusively on corporate and individual representation for filing non-immigrant visa petitions, including the O visa for artists, creative professionals, athletes, scholars and scientists from all over the world, EB-1, EB-2 (NIW) and EB-3 eligible foreign nationals.Jack is admitted to practice in New York and New South Wales (Australia). He is a member of the New York Bar Association, American Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
