Over 25 years management experience in healthcare, the last ten of which have been in executive director roles spanning strategy, complex change programmes, commercial development, communications, and fundraising.I have significant experience in working with Boards and senior leaders to develop and deliver strategies, both organisation-wide and specific to individual services. At its heart, this means being clear about the current state, what outcomes people want to achieve and what is required to get there. I am used to working with leaders and clinicians from different organisations to address complex problems and deliver change.Much of my career has involved developing partnerships between organisations and across sectors, often within a complex political environment. Essentially, this has involved developing a shared sense of purpose and direction, building trust between people, and ensuring this is underpinned by effective programme management and governance. I have a strong record of delivering changes that improve outcomes at an organisation and system level. Driven by my values, my focus is on the needs of patients, the public and colleagues. I am motivated by making a real difference, addressing complex issues through planning, systems thinking and collaboration. People say I quickly develop rapport and am collaborative, with highly effective organisational and communication skills. Things that have brought me most joy include seeing the impact of new life-saving services and developing individuals and teams.
