Accumulated over 48 years of direct, “hands on” experience in financial management and requirements development and execution at all levels of the DoD - the last 14 years of active duty serving at command/corporate headquarters levels, to include Congressional liaison and senior Financial Officer positions. Served as a key Financial Consultant/Subject Matter Expert for a DoD and Air Force (AF) Financial Management (FM) initiative, utilizing my knowledge of the DoD/AF financial process to assist AF leadership in successfully implementing a cutting edge financial and accounting system. Leveraged personal contacts and financial skills to help develop a solid deployment strategy that instilled a “failure is not an option” mindset and presented AF MAJCOM Comptrollers with a plan they could readily support. Helped to lead the charge for a successful ERP deployment across the Air Force, overcoming the challenges presented by the COVID19 pandemic.
