I am experienced in the field of carbon accounting and reporting and have recently commenced a new role as a Carbon Consultant and Trainer for SmartCarbon Calculator. I help clients with greenhouse gas emissions reporting calculations, net zero target setting and carbon reduction planning. I also deliver climate and carbon reduction courses. My role involves working a variety of clients in many different sectors. This includes local authorities, the NHS, Universities and Colleges and the private sector.Prior to working as a Carbon Consultant and Trainer, I gained three years experience working as a Carbon Neutral Data & Intelligence Officer at Sunderland City Council. This role had an emphasis on using data and intelligence to help inform and direct progression toward Sunderland City Council's goal to be a carbon neutral council by 2030, and Sunderland's citywide goal of becoming a carbon neutral city by 2040. In this role I gained significant experience informing net zero plans in addition to carbon accounting and reporting inline with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate and Scope 3 Standard, in addition to many other reporting and disclosure standards such as CDP, SECR, TCFD, Race to Zero and Race to Resilience among others. My key achievement is being listed as a leader in change mitigation and adaptation reporting and action by CDP, where my report was listed as leadership standard three years in a row.
