Surveying experience includes obtaining detailed information for analysis and design purposes, and field inspection of extensive sections of open channels and enclosed drainage systems to assess hydraulic conditions.Assisted staff from the Michigan State Police Emergency Management Division responding to flooding and storm damage in Allegan and Ottawa Counties. The assistance included working with personnel from the Michigan Department of Agriculture and interpreting the Michigan Drain Code (Act 40 of PA 1956). Assisted FEMA staff as the Michigan Department of Transportation contracted field staff member responsible for inspecting storm and flood damage to portions of Michigan's county and intercounty drainage systems. While accompanying FEMA staff, performed field inspection at sites in 14 Michigan counties. Being responsible for assessing damage, and preparing written reports regarding the findings. In addition, acted as liaison with numerous County Drain Commissioners and Drainage Districts that experienced damage from the storms. Working throughout Mid-Michigan on surveying and inspecting numerous drainage projects. In addition, performed numerous dam inspections, culvert and channel inspections to determine hydraulic conditions and conveyance capacity.
