Controller
London, United Kingdom
Initially, I was employed as a security guard, carrying out typical security jobs ,for example, access control on construction sites, vehicle compliance checks, maintaining health and safety procedures on large Crossrail construction sites. After 3 months of employment, I was relocated to the head office, to work closely with the contract managers. My role varied between independent tasks as well as working closely within a team,;I had a wide range of responsibilities to help day to day running of the company, through this role, I gained full knowledge of the computer software Logosoft. Excel was also a large aspect of my role, I used this program on a daily basis entering and maintaining data, keeping all information in an organised format;I had to deal with the majority of my responsibilities by myself, as I was the Monday to Friday day controller, these responsibilities included liaising and maintaining a good relationship with clients;I was also in charge of processing staff holiday applications. This includes checking their accrued hours and whether their holidays can be covered without causing any issues to the running of sites. However, some of my roles required teamwork, myself and team of 2 others dealt with the rostering of over 100 security officers, across various large sites.
