An independent, start-up film company, Odd Rex Studios is the umbrella name for all of the film projects worked on as a Director or Producer. While only an internet entity as of 2015, I have aspirations to one day turn it into a full-fledged studio where many great stories can be one day told. These are the focus points in my role at St. Marcus, with the aim to really tell and share who the church is to the world.My three filmmaking passions - directing, writing, and editing - are in full force in this role. Jack Albert joined Time of Grace in March 2016 as the ministry's first lead video editor. He handles broadcast editing and captioning, some producing and shooting for TV and web, and overall post-production expertise.

Working on a seasonal basis, helping to capture moments in various weddings throughout the Wisconsin area. Focusing on B-roll and secondary angles to supplement primary videographer's footage. Equipment being worked with includes Canon 70D and its autofocus system, Sigma telephoto lenses, various Manfrotto mounts, and the AllSteady 6 steadicam.

Conveyed the identity of Kingdom Workers to the KW membership as a whole, including supporters, volunteers, staff, and board directors. Responsibilities included: print production (image design, layout, and written English editing), social media strategy and implementation, email marketing layout, website maintenance via HTML and CSS coding, and advanced video editing. Helped develop KW’ use of video in marketing. Also gained knowledge and acquired skills relating to the Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically in: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Lightroom 5.

Helped set-up/take down electronic equipment for on-campus presentations or events. Also worked on a handful of editing projects for the college in the Green Screen Room; Promoted to Video Production Assistant in February 2014, where roles shifted to Filming/editing video projects and converting existing videos from legacy formats to current format. Worked with FCP 7, FCP X, Motion 5. Researched and explored applications like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Bridge, Adobe After Effects, Autodesk Smoke, Autodesk Maya, Shake, and Blender.

Wrote monthly movie reviews for The Sword on current, new movies in theaters. Promoted to Section Editor for the Arts & Entertainment section in May 2013, while still writing Film Reviews concurrently up until October 2014. Made sure all the section writers get their articles on time and that they are free of any errors, and also frequently wrote editorial pieces.

Athletic Fields

Overall, a handling and extension of the school's media and advertising. Ran the Venus 7000 display system for high school football games. For the college home games, helped wrap and run cable to the live-feed cameras, helped with the set-up and take-down of equipment, and also occasionally operated the cameras. For college basketball games, helpd operate the camera, and also helped create the ads and promos in the school's media studio, which were played during the game.

La Crosse, Wisconsin Area

A temporary A/V assignment. Referred to as a "Video Presentation Facilitator." Responsible for the production and execution of quality, multimedia After-Action Review (AAR) presentations of field exercises conducted at Military training sites. Ensure that all exercise video data is properly prepared, recorded, and distributed to the appropriate facility in a timely fashion daily and perform other tasks as directed by Team Leaders and Program Leadership.
