Jack Bedessem is a Senior Consultant and Senior Engineer with Trihydro Corporation. He has over 40 years of experience in the engineering and environmental industry. Jack is also currently registered as a professional engineer in 16 states.Jack graduated from South Dakota State University with a BS in Civil Engineering. He worked as a wastewater treatment plant operator for the City of Brookings, SD and a district engineer for the Wyoming DEQ/Water Quality Division, gaining considerable regulatory and technical experience in public water supply, wastewater collection and treatment, solid/hazardous waste, environmental response, remediation and reclamation, permitting, and compliance. Trihydro is an engineering and environmental consulting firm that was founded over 35 years ago in Laramie, WY. Jack joined Trihydro in 1988 as employee No. 12. He served in a variety of roles including project engineer, project manager, Chairman of the Board, Vice President of Engineering, Executive Vice President and CFO, leading up to his appointment as President/CEO in 2004. He recently stepped down after 16 years in this role, but is continuing to serve on special projects as a director and senior advisor. Jack remains an active civil/environmental engineer and program director, with emphasis on project/portfolio strategy, business ethics and workplace safety.Under Jack’s direction as President/CEO and Trihydro’s leadership team, the company has grown to nearly 500 employees. Trihydro maintains its headquarters in Laramie and has 20 branch offices between Alaska, California and Florida. Since 2006, the WBJ has ranked Trihydro as the State’s largest engineering firm. Zweig White ranked Trihydro as a Hot Firm for 10 consecutive years ('03-'13). In addition to his professional responsibilities, Jack has served on the boards of numerous industry and community organizations, such as the Wyoming Oil and Gas Industry Safety Alliance, Ivinson Memorial Hospital Foundation (IMHF), Center for Cowboy Ethics and Leadership, and the Laramie Economic Development Corporation (LEDC). He also served as co-chair for the 2016 IMHF La Grande Fleur and co-chair for the 2010 Albany County United Way campaign. Jack received the LEDC Business Person of the Year Award in 2005 and U.S. SBA Wyoming Business Person of the Year Award in 2015.
