I serve to support and provide input on any sustainability or environmental related topics that may need my attention. I push sustainable reforms in product development, advocate for renewable energy usage and reduced materials waste, and manage our response to the foam and plastic bans across the nation and North America that may effect our products. As a general sense, I'm hoping to push the company into the industry leading sustainable plastics manufacturing conglomerate I believe they are more than capable of becoming.

Continuation of internship work. Due to part-time status, I am tasked with focusing on the three following topics regarding sustainability at Jadex Inc. First, the tracking of legislative bans on Expanded Polystyrene (styrofoam) as well as single use plastic cutlery. These “plastic bans” are becoming more and more common across the nation and it is my job to ensure our buyers such as Walmart or Publix, do not stock their stores with our products if it is prevented by law in that area. Second, the production of external sustainability related content in the form of blogs, articles, educational videos, etc. With the goal of creating a searchable database comprised of answers and discussions on hot topic sustainability issues related to the plastics industry. Third, internal communication and sustainability consulting for the company (Jadex Inc.) and all four of her subsidiaries. Practically speaking this means maintaining and staying up to date with emails, being available and knowledgable to assist employees via video calls, and by staying up to date with the legislative requirements surrounding the sustainability of plastic products.

Interning under sustainability department at Jadex Inc. Position is broad and self-led, fostering an entrepreneurial atmosphere while also focusing on sustainable methods to improve Jadex Inc., its subsidiaries, and the plastics industry as a whole. Tasked to work on the front lines of transitioning a plastics company, whose industry is notorious for its heavy environmental impact, to a sustainable, environmentally conscious company of the future.

Collaborate with small team of engineers, business men and women, and industry professionals to draft a report detailing a manufacturing facility’s energy consumption habits and potential for improvements. Create and detail possible energy saving solutions, as well as calculate for exact monetary savings expected to earn with recommended changes.

Five-week program at Linnaeus University in Kalmar, Sweden where we studied Sustainability as it pertains to Sweden, greater Europe, and the Baltic Sea. Over 200 students from approximately 32 countries were a part of program. Fostered international and inter cultural relations skills while being fully immersed in a foreign culture.

Responsible for architectural repair and maintenance of various housing structures. As an independent employee I was in charge of my own daily work schedule ensuring that all tasks were completed properly and on-time.

Worked as a Financial Services intern for Carolinas Wealth Management. Assisted financial planners and managers, conducted financial analysis and research, and was responsible for front end client relations i.e. operating telephone system and greeting guests.
