I am currently striving towards becoming a property developer through my studies at the University of Auckland, finishing in 2023. I was a student at Auckland Grammar School from 2015-2019, and have lived in Auckland my whole life. The appropriate skills I have gained for work have come through sport. I am a National Champion in two different codes, both swimming and surf life saving. I have gathered 50+ national medals across athletics, swimming, and surf life saving, with 8 golds and 2 national records. Through my sporting success I have learnt hard work, discipline, importance of mental strength, and resiliency. Through sport, I have been able to pass my knowledge down to the younger age groups, being a coach for Whangamata SLSC from 2020 to present and being a coach at Diocesan Swim School. Through these jobs I learnt about good communication skills, team management, leadership, time management, and the ability to plan properly. I have done volunteer work as a lifeguard for almost 8 years now. I do lifeguarding at Whangamata and Piha, where I have saved 4 lives. Lifeguarding has taught me to stay calm under pressure, and learn how to be apart of a collective and something larger than yourself.I have had first hand contact with the property developing industry through family members, and have contributed towards business proposals for Mayfair Property Group. Furthermore, I have gotten to experience Goodman's business etiquette and professionalism, and business structure through immediate family members. These experiences increased both my interest in the industry and my motivation to achieve becoming a developer. Being a property developer is my dream job and believe my skills gained through sport and previous work will assist me in a developing role.
