As an Entertainment Host, it is my responsibility to ensure the guests on board Marella Cruises have the best ever holiday they deserve! This means providing utter professionalism and delivering a product to leave the guests happy and wanting to come back, which involves many of daily jobs and activities such as presenting gameshows, hosting karaoke, DJ’ing into the early hours and facilitating many of other activities we hold on board. A lot of the job is also doing compere work, bringing acts on and off in the different venues around the ship and occasionally interacting with guests over the microphone providing a more personal touch and feel. It also involves speaking one on one with the guests and their family’s on board to deliver a ‘home from home’ feel and bring them some comfort knowing on board, we are professional but personal.

Harding Retail is a retail business on the waves, providing excellent customer service and top quality products to guests who board on any of the 65+ ships that Hardings operate on. I worked here momentarily and had a great start to my sea life career, but sadly was cut short due to COVID-19. What's great about working for a company like this, is you have time to work hard and progress, whilst traveling the world and meeting great people. Whether that's people you work with or guests you assist whilst they're on holiday.

Working at Stormfront is very similar to working at an Apple store, and with the store being an APR (Apple Premium Reseller), we follow quidlines set by Apple to ensure the store meets their standards.Working here as a Senior Store Team Member, I had many of responsibilities that would assist the management team as well as being the role model for the other Store Team Members. Responsibilities would consist of;- Running the shop floor when needed, ensuring everything is running on time and smoothly.- Showcasing Apple products in a way that would engage the customer to get hands on.- Recieving in deliveries and checking for any discrepancies, and sorting any out that may occur.- Engaging the team in ‘on the spot’ training around products and accessories.- Maintaining my own knowledge on the products, by attending WebEx meetings and online training through SEED.- Helping with merchandising of the store when necessary.- End of day tasks, such as; cashing up, checking over finance applications and making sure everything is okay, filling the bank book out correctly and preparing for the next day.- Daily cleaning of the store, meeting the Apple standards.- Delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the customer journey is perfect as can be.

Apple has helped me in many ways, from development within myself to development within work. A number of skills I have gained from working here are things such as; Communication skills, understanding specific needs through effective probing, ways of giving specific positive and negative feedback, Dealing with ambiguity and many other skills.As a Specialist I aimed to enrich customer's lives by engaging them to experience the Apple Brand, Culture, Life Changing Products and Amazing Services.- Showcase Apple products and services to both consumer & business customers.- Provide unique solutions.- Be the friendly face of Apple.- Support my peers with any challenges we may experience.

This experience gave me a better understanding of the standards expected from each area of the store.My focus was on bringint the store team up to date on the importance of maintaining the standards expected by Apple, help improve BOH standards, manage in-store equipment amd help plan and deliver changes across our Accessories Merchandising and support the Genius Bar team. I did this by:- Supported our visual leads with any required tasks that need to be completed in store.- Facilitated roll out and planning of Planogram Accessory Merchandising changes.- Worked with our BOH team to improve inventory organisation and management.- Helped improve BOH areas to better meet company standards.- Manage and maintain ISU systems such as ISU iPads and Genius Bar Floaters.- Created and maintained dynamic planograms of our store.
