Nuclear robotics developer on an NCNR funded project. Using ROS and Python, I developed a 6-DoF robotic arm in Gazebo for grasping simulation. Used MoveIt! and the Kinematic Dynamics Library to implement the necessary mechanics for grasping and path planning of the robot arm. Simulation would go on to facilitate reinforcement learning tasks for complex sorting and segmentation of nuclear waste.
