While at manifold we saw a need for ultra-portable laptop peripherals. Development started under Manifold Products and later spun out as Newton Peripherals and later acquired by AAC Technologies.I designed and engineered the first computer mouse under 5mm thick. Slim enough to store and charge inside the laptop (PCMCIA Slot) I managed a team of electrical and optical engineers through to a successful product launch. Then moved on to design/architect the first 5mm thick Bluetooth headset to again, fit inside a laptop or attached to the back of a smartphone. The headset folded flat at 5mm thick and articulated when worn. I was awarded a patent for the innovative kickstand design and received a Design Excellence award by IDSA
