Write a weekly column on the CCHA for a national college hockey website, where I cover nine teams and general college hockey issues.

Copy editor for Forum News Service. I read stories for the various properties owned by Forum Communications Company, proof pages for various daily and weekly newspapers and manage news digests.

Same as before (Bemidji State and college hockey in general) but only now I'm actually in charge of people. I manage a two-person sports staff, along with a few stringers and a photographer. In addition to my previous roles (the Bemidji State beat), I now assign and edit stories and am responsible for the general overall direction of our sports section.

I cover all sorts of things for the sports section, but my main beat is the Bemidji State University athletics department, including their NCAA Division I hockey team. I also maintain a blog, update the web and Twitter feeds and design pages for the sports section.

The swingman for a 12,000-circulation daily newspaper in Central Illinois, I was a sports reporter at a newspaper that covered parts of seven counties and 19 schools. Duties included writing sports articles and features, taking photos and laying out pages. I was also responsible for creating the sports department’s Twitter feed (@EDNSports) and also maintaining the Twitter and interacting on other social networking sites.
