Visual Design in Strategic CommunicationIn this class I teach a basic understanding of graphic design fundamentals/principles and how to apply those fundamentals/principles in an organized way that is visually effective when communicating a message. Students develop skills that help incorporate graphics, illustration, photography, and design to enhance their message. This class also covers Adobe CC programs Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

Translated technical information and data into an easy to understand visual format. Created and ensured successful implementation of the company's new brand identity. Managed print vendors and freelance designers. Provided support for many projects, including ENERGY STAR and the Weatherization Assistance Program for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), State Energy Efficiency Appliance Rebate Program for the Recovery Act (SEEARP), The Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing (PATH) for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and DesignLights Consortium.
