Trujillo Pet Project is a non-profit group dedicated to improving the quality of life for pets by providing basic health care and animal welfare education to the community. We are based out of the seaside town of Trujillo, on the mainland of Honduras. I organize and work at monthly dog health clinics, education presentations, and fund raising events. I also coordinate with various international and local veterinary groups to offer spay & neuter clinics throughout the year.

Red Deer, Alberta, Canada

Based out of central Alberta, I investigated cases of animal cruelty, inspected licensed zoos, pet stores and livestock auctions and participated in community education initiatives. This included extensive field work involving monitoring and management of animal health, and/or removal of livestock and companion animals from distress situations. I also prepared detailed reports, including legal documents and court briefs. In 2005, I was chosen to accompany an animal care team to New Orleans to assist with domestic animal and wildlife rescues after Hurricane Katrina. From 2007-2010, I was on the Animal Welfare Committee with Alberta Agriculture.

Lethbridge, Alberta

Along with another team member, we were responsible for collecting and recording data for the Oldman River Dam Project. This included interviewing anglers, collecting data from captured fish and daily testing of various environmental conditions.

Alberta, Canada

I was posted in Kananaskis, Stettler and Lethbridge for summer and fall seasons to enforce Provincial Acts & Regs within the parks and protected areas. This included providing educational information to the public regarding sustainable use of wildlife and the environment, and if required, issuing tickets for non-compliance.I organized and conducted wildlife rescues and relocation. I also assisted with human search & rescue situations.
