Major aspects of the position and key accomplishments include:• Overall budget responsibility of $410 million and oversight of 1,500 sworn and professional staff members• Serve as a liaison to the Governor’s Office on critical issues impacting the State of Nevada• Provide direct administrative and operational oversight for all divisions within the department, to include consistent and forward management, and organizational philosophy• Responsible for creation, modification and implementation of all departmental policies and procedures• Oversaw Capitol Police, with security responsibility for over 300 state facilities including the Capitol and nearly 20,000 state employees.
