Returning to study as a mature aged student was an exciting but challenging adventure in my 40s but after completing a degree in Psych Science, a post grad in CBT and in 2021 graduated with a Master of Social Work at UNISA I have experienced the joy of achieving goals and fullfilling my dreams.I enjoy my work as a family and relationships counsellor and working with veterans and their families in the Open Arms service.The most gratifying part of my role is being involved in groups, I co-facilitate Women are Strong and Shark Cage groups to support women who are living with Domestic and Family Violence or who have left those damagiang relationships and are recovering and rebuilding. Walking with women as they rediscover themselves is rewarding beyond belief and I am honored to be part of that journey.
