Provides strategic leadership and support for the Conservancy’s conservation work in coastal landscapes to improve ecological and community resilience along Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay and seaside coastlines. Develops and implements conservation solutions with a variety of partners to restore key coastal processes and habitats that also provide ecosystem.

As a NOAA Coastal Management Fellow, I was selected to work at Chesapeake and Coastal Service at the Maryland Department of Natural Resources to research, implement, and write a guidance to inform beneficial use of dredge material practices.

At the Department of Marine and Coastal Science, I researched the impacts of temperature and seawater viscosity on hard clam, Mercenaria mercenaria, energetics. I was an active member of my graduate student association, serving as Treasurer and Vice President. I was a Graduate Assistant, aiding research on the impacts of turbulence on larvae energetics. I.

I organized New Jersey's regional competition of the National Ocean Science Bowl. I trained and managed 58 volunteers, coordinated with 11 competing teams, managed the budget, and organized all competition logistics.

Performed husbandry duties including feeding, cleaning, and maintaining water quality and water systems. Interacted with and educated guests on stingray and reptile anatomy and ecology. SCUBA dived to maintain appearance of exhibits. Trained stingrays to respond to visual and auditory cues. Administered medicine as prescribed by a veterinarian. Recorded.

Maintained laboratories, cleaned glassware, organized specimens, transferred cultures, and set up laboratories, laboratory exams, and department functions.

Invertebrate Biology. Provided laboratory instruction and field supervision, preparation of examinations, and monitoring of lab equipment.

Conducted field studies, and collected and dissected samples for various projects. Preserved samples for DNA analysis, slide preparation and SEM imaging. Utilized Excel to analyze species abundance. Presented findings. (Work performed in preparation for senior thesis project).

Conducted independent research on the behavioral impact of the odors of invasive crab species Hemigrapsus sanguineus on the settlement of Homarus americanus postlarvae. Aided in lobster care and data and sample collection studying the effects of temperature and diet on shell disease. Involved husbandry, maintaining data records on Excel, field collection.
