Jackie Anugo is a senior at Texas Tech University majoring in Nutrition, with a minor in Biology and Chemistry. Using her degree, she plans on attending medical school after she graduates. She has the aspiration of being a neonatal surgeon. Ever since her freshman year, she has taken challenging courses that would prepare her for the heavy course load that medical school will require. Jackie is very ambitious. When her dreams of becoming a neonatologist, she wants to work in Nigeria, the country where she was born. She was born in Nigeria and moved to the United States when she was five years old. She has developed a sense of wanting to be at the top of everything she does. Jackie is a very determined and hardworking person. She wants to open health clinics both in America and in Nigeria for kids who are underprivileged. Also, she wants to start a foundation that can bring children from developing countries to the more privileged countries to educate and brand them to becoming our world’s future leaders.
