Overseeing a team that includes an assistant. Managing the associates to run the department efficiently and smoothly.

As an Assistant Produce Manager, I overseen a team of 10-15 people. Hired, trained, and promoted associates who were wanted to move up. Controlled inventories within the department, including ordering, forecasting product, and maintaining levels of quality produce. Also made schedules for the 10-15 associates in the department. Used computer programs to research inventory inaccuracies and resolve them. Unloading trucks/pallets, down-stacking and organizing backroom and coolers (below 40 degrees), and working product thoroughly to maintain department expectations.
