Oncogenic Pathways, Iron Phenotypes, and Macrophages in Breast Cancer Washington, DC Undergraduate Research Summers 2017 & 2018• Selected by American University Professor Dr. Julia Chifman to assist in her research with her collaborators from The Jackson Laboratory, UConn Health, and Roper St Francis HealthCare on activated oncogenic pathways in the iron metabolism network.• The aim of research is to create a predictive mathematical model of an expanded iron homeostasis pathway that includes species involved in iron utilization, oxidative stress response and oncogenic pathways using Mathematica, Perl, and LaTeX and to produce a paper by the end of the summer.• Selected to attended and present a poster at the Mathematical Bioscience Institutes’ National Undergraduate Summer Research Conference at Ohio State (August 2017 & 2018).• Gave a talk and presented a poster at the Shenandoah Undergraduate Mathematics and Statistics Conference at James Madison University (October 2017). • Awarded the 2017 AU Summer Scholars & Artists Fellows Research grant given out in a highly selective process to advanced undergraduate students who show evidence of significant original work.• Research fellows are required to provide a summary of their project to the Dean of their school or college and to the Center for Undergraduate Research by the end of the calendar year.

• Worked under the Operations Manager for the MPH and MHA online graduate programs offered at George Washington University.• Organized and categorized student profile demographic data for the marketing team and researched competitor programs.
