SeaWeb works collaboratively with targeted sectors to encourage market solutions, policies and behaviors that result in a healthy, thriving ocean.- Manage media relations for SeaWeb ocean conservation programs including responding to media inquiries, coordinating interviews, staying current on media lists, pitching stories, monitoring media coverage, and analyzing trends in ocean media coverage.- Maintain relationships with journalists including national and international main stream environmental and science writers as well as seafood trade journalists.- Oversee website and social media content, and organize organizational editorial calendar.- Manage organizational and individual programatic messaging and branding, including coordinating external communications such as annual reports, speechwriting, and external statements.- Develop and implement outreach strategies for SeaWeb conservation campaigns and liasing with media, industry, government, and not-for-profit organization partners and supporters.- Draft media advisories, press releases, editorial essays, informational fact sheets, and FAQ documents.- Direct media program for SeaWeb’s annual Seafood Summit, a 600+ delegate conference focusing solely on sustainable seafood, including managing on-site pressroom, coordinating media briefings, facilitating media interviews, and organizing multi media content including photography and videography. - Produce regular reports for campaign funders including media analyses and review of campaign progress.
