I oversaw overall design and logistics for AWS Summit events in U.S. LATAM and Canada ranging from 3,000 to 13,000 attendees.▸PROGRAM EXPANSION◂Expanded Americas Summits from four summits in 2017 (San Francisco, Chicago, New York City, Sao Paulo) to eight in 2018 (added Mexico City, Toronto, Atlanta, Anaheim). ▸ATTENDEE EXPERIENCE◂I have worked to ideate, develop and execute innovative event concepts that enhance participants experience. In 2018 I introduced a “Silent Disco” format to breakout sessions at AWS San Francisco - six simultaneous sessions in one room with 4,000 attendees! It was so well received that the concept was implemented across all AWS summits in the Americas and other marquee AWS events.Additionally, after noticing that 30% of participants were coming from out of state for to attend free one-day events, I introduced a room block to AWS Summit attendees, which has already led to more than double the commission to date. ▸BUDETARY FORESIGHT◂Because of my sheer obsession with numbers, I have also worked to create a forecasting model for projected registration and attendance based on historic data and current trends, which estimates budgeting and execution needs within 5% accuracy.
