Lead and direct the vision, strategy and performance of Mothers Without Borders

I build social impact strategies, programs, and campaigns for companies and nonprofit organizations wanting to make a big difference in the local and global community. This includes coaching best practices in nonprofit management (including governance, financial health and organizational sustainability), creating and running corporate foundations, managing grant portfolios, developing strategic philanthropic partnerships, measuring and growing impact, and much more.

Promoted from Executive Director of Global Philanthropy to Executive Director of Global Impact. Lead on all social impact and philanthropic initiatives globally for Young Living Essential Oils (YLEO), including directing The Young Living Foundation entities and staff in the US, Ecuador and Nepal and The Young Living Academy in Guayaquil, Ecuador (K-12 school for 350 low-income students).

Directed Goals for Girls initiatives globally, as well as lead the day to day functioning of Goals for Girls. This included leading all global exchanges and G4G Summits/events, program creation, staff management, fundraising, creating and maintaining partnerships, developing curriculum and promotional materials, and evaluating impact.

Created, led and managed Goals for Girls programs in Uganda, South Africa, Peru, and India which included heading all logistics associated with each program. Established curriculum, volunteer/staff trainings and M&E tools to evaluate impact; facilitated cultural and safety/security trainings; prepared US girls and parents for their international experience, and led fundraising efforts for each program.

Studied impact, trends, and outcomes for a therapeutic rehabilitation outdoor survival program. This included following clients for one year after discharge to monitor progress through a series of surveys and check-ins measuring impact, and developing marketing materials based on outcomes to present to the Board, employees and funders.

Provided full procurement surge support for USAID’s Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) which included negotiating and preparing multi-million dollar grants, interagency agreements, UN awards plus amendments/modifications and supporting documentation such as waivers and memorandums of negotiation.

Provided full procurement support for USAID’s brand new Emergency Food Security Program (EFSP) which included negotiating and preparing multi-million dollar grants, interagency agreements, UN awards plus amendments/modifications, congressional notifications and supporting documentation such as waivers and memorandums of negotiation.

Supported the USAID Emergency Food Security technical team and McFadden Sr. Grants Specialists of the brand new USAID Emergency Food Security Program, which included streamlining and expediting the transition from an application to award, ensuring that all EFSP team members followed grant procedures and met legal requirements pre and post-award. Conducted post-award orientations and ensured that protests and disputes were addressed promptly and appropriately.

Taught World Geography and World Civilizations for three years. Awarded “Golden Apple Teacher of the Year” in second year of teaching. Served as the Head Varsity Soccer Coach leading 4 school teams. Also served as the Student Government Advisor which included planning school events, promoting school unity/spirit, teaching leadership skills, and raising $30,000 for different community outreach programs.

Recruited, trained, and led a team of 29 university students in creating self-sustaining projects in a village in Lugazi, Uganda. Conducted needs-assessment, led all housing and living logistics, partnered with local government and community groups, evaluated project proposals for sustainability, and reported impact to Executive Director. Community projects included: HIV/AIDS support groups, business and teacher training, adobe stoves, square-foot gardens, public health campaigns, support groups for mothers of disabled children, women’s groups, elementary and high school clubs, school and library construction.
