I secured a position as a Service Manager at the Department for Work and Pensions, the Government department responsible for welfare and pension policy. The department and the position I occupy, have played key roles in light of the Coronavirus pandemic. As a Service Manager, I coordinate and provide detailed assessments on cases for Universal Credit, the benefit payment for those in and out of work. I work with customers from the initial application to the payment being received, whilst managing their case, updating service plans, reviewing their progress and determining case closure. I work as part of a diverse team, which involves communicating with a range of complex individuals, catering to their specific needs and the ability to tailor approaches and methodologies to a task, depending on the situation. As a civil servant, I work in line with Governmental strategy and under the pretence that I am delivering public services and supporting the day to day development of its policies, all whilst working in a cost-effective manner.

I undertook a year-long industrial placement year at Claranet. My role as a Marketing Executive included working alongside the marketing communications manager with the implementation of marketing plans for Claranet and its small business specialist division, Claranet SOHO. The implementation and management of Claranet and Claranet SOHO's social media, the creation of content and campaigns that resonate with existing and potential customers, with the view to increase engagement and brand awareness. Undertaking analytical reviews on the effectiveness of new initiatives. Contribute to the management of email marketing campaigns, from production through to execution. Creation and distribution of press releases, newsletters and blog posts.

Quickly established myself as a flexible and trustworthy employee who could be left to work independently to complete tasks and adapt to any situation where necessary. Often required to use my initiative to deal and overcome challenging situations, such as customers facing difficultly. Developed and nurtured existing customer service skills through interaction with consumers.
